Developments in digital and self-sovereign identity in Germany

Dear Community,
The need for a reliable and easy-to-use identity within a digital society is uncontested. But how can this be implemented so that users retain control and institutions can provide easy access to services?
Together with Prof. Axel Küpper from the Technical University of Berlin, as well as representatives from the BMWi-funded showcase projects ONCE, ID-Ideal, SDIKA and IDunion, we would like to address these questions and understand how the identity management works based on decentralised concepts.
What is self-sovereign identity?
Who is working on it?
What changes will come with it?
We will answer these questions and more at our next Between the Towers event on 6 April.
Our speakers will be:
Helge Michael, IDunion main incubator GmbH
Prof. Dr. Axel Küpper, Technical University Berlin
Prof. Jürgen Anke, Id-ideal, HTW Dresden
Silke Thaidigsmann and Hartje Bruns ONCE, Governikus
Jan Sürmeli, SDIKA, FZI Research Centre
Arno Fiedler, Accompanying research, Nimbus Technologieberatung
The event will be moderated by Adrian Doerk, Communication Lead at Lissi.
You are cordially invited to join us and take a look at the foundations of a digital society.

We are looking forward to seeing you.
