Frankfurt am Main, April 13, 2021: Due to the current Covid 19 pandemic situation, the IMPACT FESTIVAL with its two-day main event will take place at a later date in Frankfurt am Main / Offenbach. The new event date is September 16 – 17, 2021. “We would have liked to stick to the original date in April, but due to the situation, which has been very difficult to assess for months, and for the sake of the health of our participants and exhibitors, we already decided last year to postpone our main event. We see it as our responsibility to protect all those participating in and contributing to the festival as best we can”, says Fabian Demuth, one of the initiators of the IMPACT FESTIVAL.

The IMPACT FESTIVAL is a 2-day hybrid event with more than 1,200 participants online and more than 1,500 participants expected onsite in a 10,000 m2  exhibition space. Exhibitors and participants attending the festival so far include 600 company representatives, 150 investors, 200 startup founders as well as 500 students and interested professionals.

The topic of sustainability is of great interest to more and more people and has an immense impact on our economy. As Europe’s first community-based platform, the IMPACT FESTIVAL aims to accelerate sustainable transformation by bringing together all relevant stakeholders such as green start-ups with companies and investors.

Since its founding in April 2020, the IMPACT FESTIVAL has built a very strong network of partners and contacts within the green tech scene, making it one of the most relevant B2B platforms for sustainable technology and innovation within Europe. The more than 40 partners include the European Commission, various federal associations, research institutes and initiatives.

On the originally planned date of the festival on April 23, 2021, a digital networking event called IMPACT CONNECT will take place. This event is focused on networking between innovative green start-ups with visionaries and innovation drivers from the business environment. This event offers a space for collaboration and ideas which can be the cornerstone for sustainable innovation and transformation. Tickets are available via Eventbrite.

In addition, there will be a series of pre-events in which various experts will highlight different sustainable technology fields so that interested parties can gain insights into trends and developments. The next digital pre-event will take place on Thursday, May 27, 2021.

In the meantime, the IMPACT CHALLENGE was launched in cooperation with TechQuartier. This competition aims to promote the next generation of sustainable entrepreneurs. After an initial selection process, 15 teams made up of 66 talents from 11 nations will receive intensive support from coaches and experts over the coming weeks in order to develop their idea into a viable, promising concept. The best teams will be given the opportunity to present their idea in a pitch at the main event of the IMPACT FESTIVAL and will gain access to a broad field of network partners, investors and potential corporate clients.
